About meI am a Biologist, MSc and PhD in Physiology at the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo, acting on research line of Ecological and Evolutionary Physiology on Laboratory of Metabolism and Reproduction of Aquatic Organisms in partnership with Shark Research & Conservation Program at University of Miami. My research is based on ecophysiological approach, including the energy metabolism and endocrinology of sharks and stingrays, with emphasis on nutritional condition of sharks, neonatal aspects and maternal investment in marine and freshwater stingrays. I use physiological and trophic biomarkers as non-lethal tools to study this endangered group.
